To Brad.....who has missed out on so much.....

Well, the time has come. We actually found a remnant of Thermo, UT. D.T. Jackson found out about this hot spring near Thermo. We set out to discover. We followed some directions using my odometer (thankfully it is accurate). And we came upon the hot springs. There is a hose that runs from the spring to three tubs. They were disgusting but we weren't men until we got in.

There was also this creepy portable power plant in the middle of nowhere. We assume it is stealing the steam from under the ground.

Stopped by Mother Nature

This is the story of two men. There may be more added in the mix later. One night, while feeling adventurous, D.T. Jackson, Outlaw turns to AJ the Kid and gives the signal. AJ the Kid explains to his faithful companion, Jebediah (who is a female), that driving must be done and caffeine must be consumed.

D.T and AJ prepare necessities and begin their journey. It began on Lund Highway, destination: Lund. A small ex-railroad town that is only inhabited by one, possibly two, polygamist families. The journey goes on and on. Will this road ever reach Lund? Finally we come upon a small wooden sign: Lund.

We look around the small "town" and see several buildings. One in particular caught our attention.

A sign posted by more or less "local" authorities discouraging trespassing in this antique town. We drive down further following the railroad tracks and find two abandoned homes and decide to explore. The sight is pretty cool. Unfortunately, vandals have disgraced this path before us. For some reason, adolescents now find it amusing to graffiti and smash walls in these historical landmarks.

After some meager findings we decide to drive northward, following the tracks. We found TRAIN CARS!!!

We drove northward deciding that it was time to find Thermo. The Utah town that has absolutely no information available. We drove alongside the tracks and the road got worse. Divot after pothole after freaking DITCH began to shake our faith. We continued on and D.T. remarked "We are going to die out here!" To which AJ the Kid replied "but think of the epitaph, 'Died seeking Thermo!'" D.T. was consoled and said "I will stop complaining!"

We kept driving despite the terrible conditions, until we came upon a sight most unholy: wet, wet dirt. Wet dirt = mud. We were stopped. Our jaws dropped and dreams crushed. Again, Thermo has escaped our grasp!

“We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive!”
